Around Hospitality

As part of the Figure Three series at BALTIC 39, Newcastle in 2016, Around Hospitality consisted of a solo exhibition and a studio residency within the gallery space. A range of ten artworks were presented consisting of a wide range of media including videos, sound, prints, ceramics, LED displays, kinetic sculpture, and web-based artworks. In addition, a designated area in the gallery performed as a studio space, where collaborative and socially engaged projects were realised in the gallery. Within this hybridised environment, a number of conversations, experimentations, and collaborations emerged, including Steven Ounanian’s short-film and an engagement with Christine Egan-Fowler’s project Playing the Waiting Game.
