Consecutive Events

The thought of exploring the urban culture of Tehran provided the central theme of this exhibition. The key features and inspiration that supported the making process emerged from visiting museums and collections and exploring the urban environment of Tehran between 5 - 20 August 2022. I aimed to connect to the people and the city by being involved in day-to-day activities. In addition, visiting cultural places became a means of communication with some of the historical and cultural layers of Iran. A collection of these approaches enabled me to record social aspects of real life — people’s rituals, ways of living and consecutive events seen in the urban environment.

The exhibition took place between 26th August — 9th September, 2022 at the Kandovan Building, Pejman Foundation in Tehran. Thanks to curator Zohreh Deldadeh for her support with realising the exhibition. Additional thanks to the kind technical team at the Pejman Foundation for helping to facilitate the show.
